JBSA-Fort Sam Houston:
The oldest post, it is a hub for military medicine, housing the Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), the DoD's largest hospital and only Level I trauma center in the continental U.S.
JBSA-Lackland:
Known as the
"Gateway to the Air Force,"
it is the sole location for Air Force Basic Military Training (BMT).
JBSA-Randolph:
Known as the
"Showplace of the Air Force"
and home to the Air Education and Training Command (AETC), focusing heavily on pilot and instructor training.
JBSA-Camp Bullis:
A large training area used for field and maneuver exercises by all branches.
